Arrow punches/chain punches

how would you rate your footwork to say JKD or Boxing?
Don't know, but we also put a lot of emphasis on footwork. Sum Nung Wing Chun doesn't take the view that you should be stuck stationary in Yi Ji Kim Yeung Ma.

Last time I tested it was against a guy wo had done a few martial arts, including Mui Thai, and he kept going on about JKD though I can't remember him saying he'd actually done it. I had no trouble dealing with him at all, so I guess the footwork worked fine.

how effective do you think these are in a real fight? i like that in JKD we use western Boxing which i find more effective
Bruce knew what worked !

thoughts ?
Chain punches are not are were never designed as the main wing chun punching techniques. It is just a simple technique that Ip Man taught so people with only a few weeks training could use if they were in a fight. It is because they are easy,Ip man was an indifferent teacher and they ended up being effective because opponents in challenge fights had even less of a clue that they became the unfortunate backbone of so much wing chun. Wing Chun has jabs, hooks ,uppercuts, overhand and other punching techniques. They are in plain view in the forms they just have to be taken out and trained.
