Seminars - I'm going to try to make the one Drac and Terry are talking about, especially since I'm already in Denver (BTW, I passed the info around - I know several other people who are interested as well).

A new dobok; now that I've paid for the punch to get it embroidered for someone else, I want an embroidered one for myself.

Some pretty steel there, Langen .

For myself, I'm saving like mad to order myself a decent shinken before the law changes on us - I have a Practical Plus as a cutter and a very high quality iaito (Hon Jidai Koshirae) but I feel the need for a 'proper' sharp to work with.

Thanks! I'm particularly proud of the wave-shaped lockets on the second one, which was my idea, so they match the S-shaped crossguard. Christian brought the idea to life and even made the chape on the scabbard tip to match, which I hadn't thought of.

The scabbard w/ belt on the Agincourt is entirely his brainchild. It has quite a bit of texture and detail. Note how the lockets match the crossguard as well. My best friend (and training partner) had Christian make the scabbard for his Viceroy. The top locket matches the crossguard in a very snazzy fashion. Look here: http://www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fletcher/Albion_Longswords/Pages/Viceroy.html#8

Christian Fletcher is the man, no two ways about it.

Do it while you can. Having historically accurate weapons made by some of the best in the business has taught me so much about swordsmanship. No amount of training with wood or aluminium can replace the insights derived by handling high quality sharp weapons. :)

Best regards,

-Mark
