It works out pretty well, but it's invitation only. Well, they always get invited after their first testing. We figure if we are going to have a class on Sunday evening, 6:00-7:30, it's going to just be with the little more advanced students that really want the extra mat time.

Rarely does everyone who can shows up to it, but it does happen sometimes and we actually have a pretty good sized class then. Usually it's just about eight to ten students though.

Hey that is good. The 6 to 7:30 pm time sounds like a winner for you then!

I never would have thought it would do as well as it does. I have a feeling it might not do as well next year though. A lot of our students that come to that class are seniors in high school and most are either going to be headed off for college in the fall, or the service even sooner.

Yet there will be some new students that will join. That just seems to be the way it works.

I sure hope so! We have been getting more and more adults into the jujutsu lately. Heck, one of our latest students is over 60 and has really thrown himself into it. It looks like his wife will be joining as well.

Well, the frost isn't quite all gone yet, but I'm itching enough to throw some lead downrange I don't care!

Catch ya later Brian!

That is cool! I have a number of students that are over 60 and one that is actually 82! (he is simply amazing and has been training with me for over 5 years)

Not much today. Was going to work a bit, but tweaked my back yesterday and the wife won't let me out of the house to work today. :)

I will drag the family over to my parents home at noon for our usual Sunday Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.

That sounds like a fine way to spend lunch time. (Grandma's always no how to cook

Oh yes she does. Fine Dutch background, and she like to make sure everybody gets more than enough. She's only around 5 feet tall, but commands her kitchen and dining room.

Ahh yes that is nice! I am planning a relaxing day with some training with the kiddos.

I'll take mine over to the Dojo later, but have to sit out with the rolls and other ukemi we have been working on. I'll watch them and help, but have to leave the demos to the wife today. Plus she wants to work on a couple of techniques in preperation for the next belt ranking. Should come soon, but she wants her demo in the can long before she is told she needs to get one together.

Yes if your back is tweaked lay off the rolls! When my back goes out I use some of those Ben-Gay patches and they work wonders for me.

Yeah, I got the, and I quote, "You boob, you're 43 years old. Your body doesn't bounce back as easily as it did when you were 23, train smarter." then I was given the choice of taking it easy for the nex couple of days, or her eternal wrath for abusing myself. :) Man it is nice to know when somebody really loves you enough to lay it out honestly. Next few days is lazy days for me then!

Well I'll get going to help out with getting the Ruffians ready to go to the Grandparents for Sunday lunch. See you all later tonight.
