Had a birthday party for my son. The one I have for my avatar, he turned 5 and we had 15 of his friends out for bowling and pizza. That took up a major portion of the day.

Had a birthday party for my son. The one I have for my avatar, he turned 5 and we had 15 of his friends out for bowling and pizza. That took up a major portion of the day.
Lots of help, made the day go rather well. That, and I am also a Cub Scout leader so a whole bunch of active kids are kind of par for the course. At least none of these wanted a fire.
Glad it went weel and no fire's that is an added plus

Yeah, it seems that once they get a couple of years older, they all want to 1) burn something. 2) cook something, 3) explore something.
Actually waiting for that phase to pass, that still sounds like fun to me as well.

You know it! They haven't changed a bit really. There are so many new rules to follow as a leader, but it is all to help protect the kids. I have a picture frame on the entertainment center of my grandfather in his scout uniform in 1922 and my sons in their uniforms from this year. Kind of cool.

I built the fire, split the wood, stacked some wood, some to split, some good to go, and got the house a bit warmer. Gotta love late fall, getting on ta winter.:shrug:

Pretty much exactly what this thread is for. Plus it is as close as we get to a chat room. I think the people here on MT in general are all great. I would love to spend a summer vacation traveling around to visit their Dojo's, Dojangs, & Training Halls just to be able to shake their hands and put faces to names.

That would be a great vacation. I usually hang out on Kenpo Talk, but since my instructor hangs out here more often, I thought I would just check it out.
