Let's get the buffalo wings and garlic/cinnamon bread deal that comes with the pizza.
Hi Carol! How's it going?
Sorry. Maybe now that it is the 3rd shift, things will quiet down and get better for you. Don't fret, we're here for ya!
How was the seminar?
I'm having a rotten day at work and I'm sore as hell from my Silat seminar on Saturday, but other than that I'm doing fine![]()

Hi Carol, I'm sorry to hear that... hate those bad days that stay with you like poison. Did you have a good long weekend, at least?
Thanks! I stumbled in to a wrong-place-at-the-wrong time situation. Everyon around me has been about as good about it as they can be, I just have to wait for the political effects to blow over. This too shall pass, I hope.
The weekend was really good. Had a great time at the seminar and I'm still feeling the painBut it was really good to be away from work and computers for a few days

Yes, I noticed you weren't posting to MT over the weekend. Sometimes a day or two from the Little Screen is a good thin... The seminar sounds great! What kind of stuff were you doing?
As for work politics---it always does blow over, but the obnoxious thing is, it always comes back! Maybe next time, with a little luck you won't be in the line of fire when things go sideways...
We were doing some of the Harimau (Tiger) moves of Pencak Silat. Legend says Harimau was inspired from how tigers fight so there is a lot to Harimau that is done low to the ground. A deep stance in most arts is a mid stance in Harimau.
Despite the pain, it was a lot of fun. Brutal art though...this was a style designed specifically for combat.
It will take some time but fortunately I think all that is needed is time. What a PITA. I'm glad I'll be on vacation in a few days![]()

Sounds like the kind of thing where you discover just how many pain receptors you have inside your legs... I like TKD patters which emphasize lower stance in part because I just like the look of them, and it's a great thing to feel yourself moving fluidly from one lowish stance to another. But what you're describing sounds bloody hard.
That's what I've heard about various forms of Silat. Sounds like you had a terrific time---but maybe wouldn't want to do this every week?
Nothing like being out of harm's way, eh? By the time you get back, there will be some other crisis and no one will remember this one, probably. All the drama will be like last week's newpaper... not a bad thing, come to think of it.
From your passion, drive and spirit shown in the past, you THINK you're brave enough? What more needs to be done to convince yourself? quote]
A case of Tiger Balm couldn't hurt...LOL!!!!
Hmmm....Harimau = Tiger, I need Tiger Balm....hmmm....coincidence??![]()
