I've never been afraid to get up in front of a room and speak...In front of the MA's I get a little concerned that I would not be taken seriously..I needless worry..

I know what you mean. I'm beginning to get those fears now. I've been teaching on and off for years, but shortly I'm going to have my own school finally and I'm getting a bit nervous about it all. It will all work out.

No worries..Will you wear a gi??? I read that when filming the Karate Kid that Martin Klove who played Sensei Kreese.was having a problem taking command of of his roll UNTIL they put him in that black gi and tied a black belt around his waist..

Yes, we will be traditional in that way ... gi's will be worn. Although we will have classes periodically where we do our thing in street clothes, which I believe is essential to self defense. I've been there before, I think it's just nervousness from opening a school.

One of my friends opened a Kajukenbo school in Cleveland, it took him forever to get the doors open, better than a year because of all the red tape..

I'm close, it's been almost a year ... but we'll get there.

14 opening a school you have to take the time and do it right. This way you can focus on students and not all the B.S.

I totally agree. We are enduring some pain to make it for the students, about the teaching and not money. If we had taken just any location, irregardless of the cost, prices would have had to rise. We're painstakingly searching for the right location at the right price to give the students the best of both worlds, an great program at an affordable rate.

There is a school in Dallas that teaches Combat hapkido but do not know them. They also do alot of Olympic sparring for the younger student.

It was an EXCELLENT time..I think about 200 people showed up...Many registered but did't show..
