Mobile VS. Stable Stance

Mobility is important until stability is required. Stances are fleeting, they are but moments in time.

I'm amazed to see all the likes and agreements. I must be doing things wrong. I was always taught that stability was what allowed effective mobility. Woe is me. :)
 
Again, I am off in my understanding. Somehow static doesn't seem a good description of what I learned about MA.

Well that's why I went into appearance. No Martial art is static but some lend themselves to more dynamicism and so when compared to a "tighter" art like say Wing Chun, the former can make the later look static if you aren't familiar.
