Thank you! I definitely chose the right school and MA for me.Congrats, man, that's an awesome journey so far! Keep at it, the fun doesn't stop!
Great work! Congratulations on your progress!I haven't given an update on my Kenpo progress in awhile so here goes: Been training as a blue belt now for six months. Everything has been about critiquing my forms, stances and of course all the basics. I have seen my forms get smoother and flow much better, and I have also gotten better with balance. I am getting ready to test soon for my next belt. Cannot believe that I am already almost at green belt level. The school I go to has been great and the journey has been amazing. Overall my physical fitness has vastly improved, almost to the level of my military days (but not quite) I have already been training now for a year and a half. Time flys when you're having a great time!

Thank you my friend, I am thoroughly wiped but very happy. It was the hardest I've been pushed since I was in the army. I was also in my 20's then!See? Told you you didn't need luck!
Congrats! Heck of an achievement!

Here is what Stuarto looks like wearing a green belt. I thank my sensei's for pouring all of their knowledge into me to get me to this level. I also thank all of the MT friends for keeping me company along the journey. Tonight feels like I achieved a big goal!

took Kenpo 35 years ago, and about 4 years ago got back to it, just what advice are you looking for? Started when i was 27-28 years old. took 32 years off(at the time) have been back at it for 4 years now, reached brown belt at 60 years old plus a blue belt with two stripes in BJJ(however long that is) so have been at the arts for bout 7 years now and love it!! my problem now is i hate training by myself!! at first it was fun to train by myself but anymore its boring, but get me around other people i fall in love again!! just like training with other people around, before i had trained in a school with about 30 people just in my class(that went down of course) after a few months, etc. now i train in a metal building with just i say at the most 4-6 people at a time, still love the arts and always will!! seems things have changed now at 60 years old, i have to break away from my fighter mentally!! I'm to old to be fighting anyway and my instructor agrees wholeheartedly with me on that, now i`m not anything at all there are many people out there that have been at this longer then i have and so much better!! so that has been my journey so far and looking forward to the rest!! ENJOY THE JOURNEY!! Best wishes.Greetings everyone. My name is Stu, and I have recently started training in Professor Cerio's Kenpo in Massachusetts. I have done some reading on the history and lineage of the art. So far, I am enjoying it greatly. I am looking to get some feedback from others who train in this style. In the past I have done some Aikido (off and on) but began being drawn towards Kenpo a year ago. I have always thought of martial arts my whole life and finally found the right time to get serious. I would love to hear the story of your journey in Kenpo and also any advice you might have. Thanks!
Respectfully,
Stu Young
Thank you for sharing that, and it motivates me to hear you are training at the age of 60. A few of my sensei's are in their late 50's and are very knowledgeable and skilled teachers. A few have been training for decades. Since I made this post, I have been training for 1 year 7 months and recently achieved green belt. The journey has been excellent and I also enjoy training more with others. I train by myself a few times a week and go to school twice a week. I love going to Kenpo class and always push myself hard in training. I'm 39 and planning to train as long as I can, and also to teach eventually as well.took Kenpo 35 years ago, and about 4 years ago got back to it, just what advice are you looking for?
