That last sentence is gold. Easily the most demonstrable truth found in a genuine training facility. You can’t fake it when you are getting pummeled.
Look. It doesn't matter how angry you are when you do one step drills. They are still one step drills and have all the same issues that drills have.
It doesn’t matter how angry you play act during one step drills. It doesn't make you brave when someone really wants to fight you.
Simulating fighting as closely as you can under the tutelage of people who are good at it. Makes you better at fighting.
This sort of training is designed to make people feel empowered by ensuring victory. Where real fight training quite often does the opposite.
