A sadness for all the lives lost and ruined in a fruitless campaign that in all probability gained nothing that coming to the negotiating table earlier would not have gained anyway.

They are still bomb making, shooting, kneecapping and making people 'disappear'. With the so called Muslim threat people have forgotten that Northern Ireland while somewhat better is still a minor warzone. With the Olympics people are all thinking suicide bombers etc but really we need to be still looking closer to home.

Aye, it is as if the reporting media has declared that the Irish Troubles are all done and dusted and so we don't get the news that we once did from that part of the world.

Seem that nowadays you have to rack up a considerable body count....just the bombs alone or a couple of casualties won't cut it...

(Allowing the political IRA folks onto the platform seemed to have eased the violence....so sad to hear we have been duped by lack of coverage...)
