Terry,

Thanks so much for sharing this, and congratulations to you (and Kacey's school, re: her post) and your students for an OUTSTANDING performance!!

After the discussion on your other thread about competition, and the changes that sometimes have to be made to be competitive, it was such GOOD news to hear and see that your students did so well. So glad to see a competition CAN maintain integrity to the art and fairness to the students.

Congratulations again!

Yes we just did the Poomsae the correct way and still manage to win in some rings. Thank you Ninjamom.

Different tournament entirely, but thanks anyway!

Yes different tournament but Kacey did a fine job and she has a great class of students and I know she trains them right for tournaments and for life as well.

That's terrific, Terry—and the bolded bit is what I like the best!

Doing it the right way means more then a medal and my students agreed. They voted and I gave them the option and they made the right decission.

They definitely did. It's nice to see that virtue and integrity are rewarded sometimes; otherwise, we'd wind up becoming way too cynical, which gets pretty depressing after a while. Good lesson for the future, eh?

Thanks much - I'd rep you... but it hasn't been long enough, so you'll have to settle for public recognition!
