No, it'll work either place. The difference is in application of technique. In the dojo you must be circular in your movement and on the street much more linear.

I've seen this applied in the Dojo -- not only was it circular, but there was a lot of zig-zagging between other sparring partners, and at least one trip up the stairs!

I had the chance to study that when I was with the serving in the spacial forces at Fort Livingroom during Operation "Mythbusters."

Was the 'spacial' forces intended, or a misspelling? It's funny either way, I just gotta know
