What don't you like?

The one thing that I do not care for at the dojo I am at is the lack of time spent on the kumite and jujutsu sets that our system offers. They are just thrown in kind of as extra training material when they could be brought in as an integral part of the system.

I hate western martial arts students who try to out-asian the asians.

You know, having a Japanese flag in class, only speaking in Japanese, drinking green tea, and generally taking themselves very, very seriously. The sorts of classes where as much emphasis is placed on the bowing rituals as the fighting techniques.

I agree with this, you have to accpet who you are, not try and be something else.

But what do you dislike about YOUR art? Your training?

Nothing. I only train for me. If I don't like something, I change it.

I bemoan the lack of training partners and time, though!

I hate how if I don't hit the makiwara my knuckles get itchy. Espeacialy when I'm trying to cut down. You can't scratch it either because it's under the skin. I, also, hate the politics.
