Interesting. The Latin American ones are largely correct from what I can tell...I say largely because the names of many countries are open to a bit of speculation, and their is a good bit of lore surrounding the origins of the name. Mexico, for example, can mean "navel of the moon" or "place of the moon" but it can also mean "war".

Kinda neat that they refered to Colombia as "Corombo".

The name Christopher Columbus is the Anglicisation of the Latin Christophorus Columbus. His name in his native 15th century Genoese language was Christoffa[9] Corombo[10] (pronounced IPA: [kriˈʃtɔffa kuˈrumbu][11]), and the Italian language version of the name is Cristoforo Colombo.

For whatever reason...his name has not remained intact. In English, he is Christopher Columbus. In Spanish he is Cristóbal Colón.

I'm not so sure on the accuracy of some of the names but it's a fun excercise. I've always been interested in language, it's use and it's history as a living thing, so ideas like the linked map appeal to me .
