I see how it is... I show up and everyone leaves. *sniff sniff* you guys are so....

NICE for leaving this thread all fo rme!

Can I just say "ow"? A couple of TKD students I know are testing for I Dan on Saturday, and they have to do a 2-minute demonstration of self-defense techniques against an attacker... the attacker is commonly known as "the fall guy" and/or "the punching bag". I am one the attackers... and once is fine, but after the 15th or 20th time we had to redo a particular sequence to our sahbum's satisfaction - and the lady who is testing is pretty precise, so she kept hitting exactly the same spot, and I have to get thrown a fair number of time - I am so sore in so many small spots... and there was that one roll where the mat shifted and I was on the floor... on my neck... ice... I need more ice... and then I'm going to bed.. ow...

I don't have time to toughen up... testing is Saturday. Besides, it wouldn't be so bad, except the woman who is testing is 6'2" to my 5'5", and so she's using body weight for a lot of things... and one of the sets involves a kick exchange, and she kept hitting the same spot on my shin; I really need to get shin guards.

Anyway, she was in my 4 against 1 when I tested for 4th; it's just that tonight was the first time our sahbum saw it (which is a whole other story involving his second job and my graduate school schedule), so he kept making us do certain sections (the most bruise-inflicting sections, mostly) over and over and over... and over... but it was really the time I missed the mat and rolled backward and landed on my neck that really got me. On the other hand, it was a good roll and most of the momentum was gone when I got to my neck, and I kept my head up; it's just a little stiff. I'm sure tomorrow will be worse. :)

Probably. But, I meant in the long term, for the toughening up. It only gets tougher from here on out.

Good Evening Hand Sword. Or Good Morning. I'm not really sure. But you know what I mean. :D

It's a shame that everyone gets drawn into the politcal argument of a situation, and those that are dealing with the situation, for real, get forgotten about, or put on the back burner.

I agree. Your "God Bless Our Troops" post was very moving.

Just trying to help focus martial artists. You would think, that would be easy, considering all of the practice they've had doing that. LOL!

Very true!!!

This is from an e-mail that was going around work from our maintenance manager. It's part of the effort to clean up our raccoon issues.

The big green and black thing that has 4 wheels and is located outside the north end (the side nearest the day care center) of your building is called a generator.

Its only function is to provide your building with power in case of an emergency. It is not to be confused with the dumpster, which is the big blue thing behind the fence that maybe you can't see because it's behind the fence.

If what's left of your slices from (restaurant) or your subs from (restaurant) or any other trash you may have is to cumbersome to carry to the nearest wastebasket, you should leave the aforementioned items is the vehicle you brought them from, or get assistance in carrying them to the nearest wastebasket.

The "day care center" isn't a real day care center. He's referring to the building that houses our executive offices. :lfao:
