We are broke as all hell this year, so I'm giving my wife a nice little tin box nick-knack with a love letter inside.
I have neglected to write her a love letter in years (bad husband! :whip, so I think she will like that.

In regards to expensive little things I remember back then when I did buy something expensive only to have it get lost by both of us. I would do it again but my wife would shoot me.
