Travesties of justice.
The "it's a good tool" defense for this trampling of civil rights is contrary to the bedrock of our nation. Property rights were one of the reasons our forefathers formed this nation in the first place.
Any "good" done via the use of this "tool" is tainted by even one innocent being victimized by government with this same tool.
To paraphrase a fundamental principle of law, it is better that 100 bad guy druggies get to keep their ill-gotten wealth than it is to deprive even a single innocent citizen of his property.
