The book is by Joel Levy. anybody read this book? I have it, but am apprehensive to actually read it. I glanced at the text and saw quotes from Hatsumi. so once again,
has anyone read it?

They usually are... :p
As to the OP, the author's name doesn't ring a bell. It looks like it's self-published through Barnes & Noble.

I have read it saw it at Barnes and Nobles in the bargain books.
Personally I rather spend the $10 on another book. Having access to books in Japan or ordering from Amazon or other sites are usually better bets than buying a Ninja book in the Barnes and Noble bargain section but you pay for what you get.

I picked up a copy of that book. It was entertaining, and I liked the japanese art within the book. I wouldn't recommend it as a "core" book on ninjutsu - Hatsumi and Hayes are your best bets for that. It was pretty entertaining, though. I held on to my copy.
