Hello,
My name is Michael and I have been involved in the Martial Arts for 27 years. My first introduction to the martial arts was in 1982 at the NB Ju-Jitsu Club in Belleville,NJ. ran by Nick DiNapoli. Our style of Ju-Jitsu is called Gen Lee (Genri in Japanese) and is an American style founded by Nick.
I was awarded the rank of Godan by Nick in 2000 and suffered his loss a couple of years later, I will miss my dear friend and teacher immensely, his art and teachings saved my life more than once.
I then began studying Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido under the North American San Shin Kai (founded by Mitsuzuka Takeshi Sensei) and was promoted to Shodan by Roger Wehrhahn Shihan.
I continue to teach Ju-Jitsu and teach Iaido to my daughters and hope to do so for a long time.
Sorry for the long intro, Hope I didn't put anyone to sleep
Yours in Budo
Michael
