Listening to the episode of Beyond the Wall of Sleep episode that featured new music from the band Swervedriver. (Well, it was new music at the time this episode aired anyway.)

Going to see Spiderman this evening. Can't wait.

Is he tough? Listen bud.
He's got radioactive blood...

I like the new thing where local theaters are upgrading the chairs and allowing you to purchase a reserved seat. I don't think the word has gotten out in the Seattle area, but it's nice to be able to see a first run movie without having to get there 2 hours early to stand in a mob like cattle at the stockyard.

I haven't been to the movies much in the last 6 years or so. Maybe that's why - I need to see if any of ours are offering that.

I want to take my girlfriend out to a movie this Saturday. First date night in ages. The thing is, I want to see SPIDER-MA: HOMECOMING, and I know she is not into the superhero shtick. I need to see what other titles are out...what one will hold both our interest, if possible.

If there are no such titles, then we will go with the one that interests her. lol

The Big Sick looks like a wonderful date movie.

We have several theaters in the area that offer reserved seats, and the one closest to our house actually has recliners. It's not cheap (about $11 per seat), but worth it. They can't fit as many chairs into the theater as with the older ones, but I'm sure they get more business as a result.

I've been working on an outline for the 3-part Wing Chun class they are going to let me teach in October. I'm happy with it so far. Each time I go through it, I make minor tweaks here and there.

One thing driving me nuts though is that I had the brilliant idea of reaching out to recruit a "demo partner." However, then I got the even MORE brilliant idea of getting a different demo partner for each class. While I do think this is a cool idea, it is proving to be incredibly frustrating. Schedules just don't seem to line up to allow me to meet with people at least 2-3 times before the classes start.

Then again, it is only early July. Maybe I need to chill out?

Sometimes I can be my own worst enemy in that regard.

Looks like I'm going to be teaching again, I have said no to everyone who has asked for years...but they made me an offer I can't refuse :D..... actually I was asked by someone I best not refuse or I'll NEVER hear the end of it :D.....but I am keeping it as simple as possible...

Besides, I may be able to parlay this into more training for me ;)

Teaching what?

Waffle making......:D

Taijiquan and possibly some Qigong

Awesome.....Love waffles.

Can you provide a course description of how waffle making is an important aspect of officer safety or criminal investigation so I can submit it to my agency to pay for the travel expenses.

That's easy... a happy criminal is a less violent criminal and waffles make them happy, and a happy criminal is MUCH more cooperative with investigators... class 2 I will cover syrup interrogation techniques...and when is the last time you heard of a Waffle chef being a target of crime.....
