Just some samples I dug up. All different ability levels, but you'll see that. For the record, I don't know any of the players.

Test Day (About 4 mins):

Some San Soo action (each about 1.5 mins):

We don't call this ugly kung fu for nothing (and affectionately). But I hate being on the receiving end, even in practice. :ultracool

Thanks for posting these clips. Dave Hopkins is a great guy and has an excellent studio in Riverside.

Thought I recognized the name. Have heard really good things about him. If that's him on one of the clips (dark hair, black gi), he's also very good.

While watching the begining of the clip. I was starting to say to myself. Wow no fuss, no muss. Boom, boom, and all to the floor clean, and quick. That is till the defender did the one where he rolled into/onto the attacker. Pretty interesting, pretty interesting...

Yeah, it's both/and or maybe either/or. Can use your body to drop him cleanly, or can run into/roll into/drop onto him if you want, using your 'body as a fist'. Very effective if done properly.

Often practiced more slowly than the clips because it's so easy to hurt a partner (usualy get hurt anyway :mst:), and also going slow imprints moves, targets, and mistakes :) you don't want to repeat into your brain. Jimmy said, To speed up, slow down.

LOL! We say the same about SPM. I loved the clips. Direct and to the point. Awesome. :asian:
