Ours have some long stiff arm, but the majority are shorter, bent arm clawing movements. We do use clawing techniques for raking/tearing, no flying kicks of any sort in ours though.

We use alot of circular motion combined with fa jing type motions, the basic principle is to go through your opponent.

As for how they differ, I'm a Snake specialist, but they use alot of raking claws and short punches, circular blocks and grabs, some chin na, the kicks tend to be focused on attacking the foundation combined with hook kicks in simulation of the Dragon's tail. All are much different than Snake's way of going about things.

Long/short arm movements, claw used for raking/grasping, minimal footwork & flexible waist. Uses the earth element so it can be either hard as a mountain or soft as sand/dirt. Considered the highest level animal in our system.
