Very interesting clips. Although I have had some exposure, within the SKK system, to PM techniques, I had no knowledge of the SPM style, it was enlightening ... thank you.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!

*Dives under desk and curls up in fetal position*

Nice clips, thanks for posting them.

Interview with Norman Chin includes some history of the style and the differences between SPM and NPM.

The form that is done at the beginning in the above clip is a form that the Southern Mantis guy that beat the daylights out of me did. It was impressive to watch and I was amazed at his speed.

If you can stand to wait until 4 minutes or so, the last performer is Grand Master Mark Gin Foon showing a bit of his actual speed....

Personally, I think it's worth the wait.

Definitely worth the wait. Fantastic! Thanks. :)

Good stuff! The second clip, especially, reminds me of how we do san soo drills in Kung Foo San Soo, vs. sparring with modified boxing equipment (i.e., kickboxing, where all the real life targets are off limits and our whole art is basically illegal :ultracool). In the clip, the teacher shows what he could do with a driving palm heel or a kick, but doesn't actually do it--thus sparing the poor student great bodily harm (or worse). :) Me like. Thank you. ;)

So natural, so graceful, so relaxed, so fast. Sigh...If only....
