Kali stick fighting but with a comb?

I would get in trouble with the authorities if I brought a small Kali staff around with me for no good reason. My past instructor did however recommend that I could use a comb for scratching the aggressor's face. But not all Kali techniques can be used with a comb. For example,a comb doesn't have the impact power of a stick/staff when you hit the aggressor's head although the same could be said for a knife. And a comb is definitely not as sharp as a knife(which is also a Kali weapon). So how high is my survival rate with just a comb? I could bring an umbrella for self defense instead and try to apply Kali or Kendo moves but umbrellas break easily.

Okay. I think I realize now that a comb isn't really a good a weapon as a knife and that I should have realized it earlier. I don't know what got into me to even ask about it. Guess I'll just stick to an umbrella as even with the risk of breaking easily it is still better than a comb. Thanks.

Ok. So there is a youtuber called Charli Veich whi basically wanders around poor areas upsetting people.

Therefore he needs a bodyguard.

And this is the guy.

What I kind of like is his use of an umbrella to stop projectiles.

They do have metal combs. Not sure how long you have been training in FMA, but improvised weapons are a big part of training. The art itself is to teach you to be the weapon and whatever ever you pick up an extension of yourself. What do you think of a tactical pen? How about heavy cabling or rolled up magazine. Maybe, you should train periodically with object that are not considered traditional weapons.
