Hello guys,
I am new to this site; very good site!
I have been practicing Shotokan Karate for the last 20 years. I am a black belt, so I know how to fight.:)
But I need to improve my throwing, locking and grappling knowledge. I am really bad at that, so I was thinking of JuJitsu.

To start, Which one is a good Ju Jitsu book?

I will eventually enroll in JuJitsu classes but would like to start on my own first.

Thanks,

Jorge

Japans Ulitmate Martial Art by Darrel Max Craig is good one. Covers basic throws, defenses, locks, and Atemi Waza. Keep in mind, that if persued with an open mind one can find many of these same tehcniques in a kata. The style I train in includes large amounts of Shotokan, so I can say freely the there is a reason that Penan means "peaceful mind".

I can't claim to be unbiased but I'd like to recommend JUJUTSU: LEGACY OF THE SAMURAI. It was endorsed by Forrest Morgan and has gotten some good reviews. It's available on amazon.com

If you buy it and don't like it, I'll send you a very nice letter of apology.:)
