i like the cane.
you can carry it anywhere. it's longer than most other weapons that people take with them. there are some cool things you can do with the crook.
plus there's that sort of 'poetic justice' feeling you get when you whomp on someone who attacked a person walking with a cane.
the big difference about canes, though, is that they're non-escalatory weapons. where most weapons make you appear more dangerous, thus making people less likely to make smart decisions, a cane makes you appear less dangerous. people who aren't being made nervous make better choices. and if they still make a bad choice, you're armed very well.
