But as you said, I couldn't do it without my day job. Maybe you could find a job with a schedule that allowed you to teach a couple of days--even late afternoons/early evenings work for many kids.

It may sound trite but, if it is meant to be it will happen. I continue to work diligently on building our school. Kidswarrior, Kudos on your work with kids and MA. And thanks to all for ideas and words of encouragement.

Unfortunately, I usually find that when someone pays nothing, they value nothing. Plus, when the individual truly means well, it becomes embarrassing to pay nothing. I like the idea of asking for some kind of work in exchange for the lessons.
