Now on with the show! I cannot tell you how happy I am to be here retelling the tales for you all. Someday these writings will surely be "ancient script" to many, and may even be turned into "glyphs" on some stone wall in a cave of an asteroid many light years from us.... But the Great news is! (drumroll).... You get to read them all right now as they happen! LOL (you can say; "I was there when it all happened):ultracool

Well as I mentioned before LT has soooo missed her TKD classes, and never so much as the last few weeks when she was playing soccer like her older sis. She simply Hated it! I was so glad when she mentioned (on her own with no coaching from mwah) that she wanted to go to "karate classes" again (thats still what she calls them most of the time). I could hardly wait for today.

LT was very excited when I reminded her that today was 'the day' for her classes. She hugged me and said; "Oh thank you daddy! I'm gonna go tell mommy". She ran off in a licky-split and reminded her mother and then proceeded to get her uniform on. When she got there we were only about 4 mins early. The mats were crowded with 11 other little kids!!! WOW, someone has been marketing hard lol. It used to be only 4 or 5 kids there total. I was instantly nervous on how she would react to the large crowd. Many of you remember how she 'acted' the 1st few times she attended TKD classes last year... and I was afraid that is would be a repeat of the horrors of last year since she had been gone for so long.

To my suprise she behaved great! She did her little bow when she walked in the dojang and proceeded to take off her slippers and went out onto the mats with the other kids and sat down like a perfect little lady. I was very proud of her Over the next 40 mins she practiced her little poomse like a champ when the instructor told her too, and when the other little kids (a couple of them) were not paying attention or misbehavin' she continued to focus on the instructor! I could of cried lol. Only a couple of little kids remained from the class last year, and both of them were ahead of her in belts now (She cont's to wear the little white belt with the purple strip), but thats ok. I am sure once she unleashes the inner spirit of Bruce on the class she will be headed for dojang history :ultracool

After class I went at her insistance to buy her one of her favorite "mexican donuts", it had been several months since she had one and I was glad to see her so happy to get one... heck, I didn't even get mad when she wiped the chocolate on her hands all over her blouse.

All kidding aside, Both LT and I are glad to be back in the world of TKD. I look forward to where the years will take her...

Chapter 2 ~ One year older, and it shows!


Well when LT first started over a year ago, when she was only 2yr old and some change a lot of people commented it was "Too young", and here I am a year later to let you all know...You were right!
:uhyeah:

She is doing so much better now at 4yr 2 months old, then I ever thought possible (for her). Her attention span is Way better, her attitude is much Better, and truly looks forward to going and doing TKD more then she ever did before. I am so happy for her right now that she found something she really enjoys.

This morning we 'had' to go to the final soccer game of her soccer season, and even though she normally is quite bad at soccer; she actually did an outstanding job. They gave out little medals for the end of the season awards and all the kids said good bye for now.

Getting in my truck she asked me; "Daddy is that my last soccer. I'm I just doing TKD now"?

I replied; "Yes sweety".

She pumped both her fists in the air and yelled; "Thank you daddy, thank you"! With a huge grin on her face


At her last class on Thursday the instructor had her do the "Little kids poomse" in front of the other 11 kids to show them "What good focus" she had. She was so proud. I look forward to her futher adventures in the world of TKD, and hopefully her love for it continues.... It is truly enjoyable for her, and for me and her mom who get to watch her.

Thanks for the update. Yeah 4 is the perfect age to start if you ask me. Two of my kids both started at 4 years old. My youngest is now 4 and we have begun teaching her at home. She will most likely start a bit later (money). But since she has a Black Belt Brother and Sister, plus a Black Belt Dad, we can teach her at home for the time being.

Congrats to your daughter and her up and coming endevors.

Wow, it has almost been a whole year since Lil Tiger has started up her TKD training again, and boy does she still love it!

She is now 5 years old!!! (wow how fast time goes by)...I can remember the first class she was in a couple months shy of 3 the first time!

She is now in the "bigger kids" class, and is now training for her purple belt.... she has entered 2 tourny's and entered into 3 competitions total. Winning the 'Gold' all three times! (She does not know the difference between 1st and 3rd though, she is just happy to get a medal LOL).

Hope all of you are still having fun, and staying safe....

Golly it has been a long time since I last posted, But I thought maybe a few of you (or maybe just 1 or 2 of you LOL) has wondered; "What is going on with Lil' Tiger?"

Lil' Tiger just did her 3rd tourney and this was the first one she did sparring in. Attached is a video of her "First bloody match" %-} (just kidding of course... No humans or animals were injured during the making of this film).... ENJOY!

Love the aggressiveness. Her kicking was pretty darn good. Take it from someone that knows, keep her going, she is a natural.

Now for the person recording. ZOOM OUT!!! That was bad filming at its best.
Also, Coach, GET UP OUT OF THE CHAIR IN BETWEEN ROUNDS AND LET THE ATHLETE SITDOWN!!!

Okay, I am done. Lil-Tiger gets and A+ and everyone else fails. ;-)

Lil' Tiger (A'Cappella) is still excited from the tourny last Saturday. I was walking her to school today (I was off from work) and she asked me what she was doing tomorrow... I told her; "Nothing, it's your day off from school". She replied; "What about TKD? Do I get to go to another tourny?".

She was bummed when I said she didn't have another tourny that I know of until next spring.....

It made me wonder. Is there a place on the internet that lists ALL the TKD tourny's nationwide?? Let me know if you know of one.

Also, thanks for the invite G-Man.... We used to go to Vegas every year in Nov for a soccer tourny, but have not been there in the last 3 years. If we
do go again, I will look you up:ultracool

I never worry about it and never have but I have been very up front with the school owners! I refuse to let people control me. I will listen to the reasons why! The choice is mine! Having said that I have tournaments, orgs and schools that I won't support but it is my choice.
