It certainly sounds better than the hotel's "continental breakfast" - about a dozen types of sugary bread, and over-sugared juice... I ended up walking out to the grocery store and buying individual servings of cheese; I CANNOT face a long day at a tournament without something besides simple carbs coated in sugar.

Oh Kacey, I can sooo relate! Can't stand starting my day with some sugary crap! Makes me sick to my stomach and gets me jittery. Not to mention I end up hungry again within a couple of hours.

I hear ya Kacey..I've been lucky, the places I've stayed had a a lot of fruit and bagels...

you're all a bunch of freaks. I dunno how anyone can stand to eat breakfast. I have to wait at least 3 or 4 hours after I wake up before I can eat. I love breakfast foods... just not enough to eat that early.

Today it was 3 eggs over easy and corn beef hash.Whole Wheat tost dry...No hash browns ....AND MORE COFFEE...

Me too, we usually wait 2 or 3 hours around here as well. The wife likes breakfast as soon as she wakes up, but the boys ended up with my genes for breakfast time.

You could probably splerge on a pat of butter for that toast, I'm sure the goodys in the corn beef hash will hide it somewhere. LOL

Drac, I used to live in battle Creek, MI where they make Frosted Flakes and working downwind of the Kelloggs plant while they are cooking them will make you sick to your stomach. The air is so sweet you can't take it for very long. Didn't stop me from eating them one bit, but I hated working anywhere close to the plant.

Frosted Flakes or Sugar Puffs (Golden Puffs now). Now your talking my childhood as well.

There was Coco-Krispies and Rice Krispies too...Never cared for the hot cerals like Maypo or Coco wheats..My brother was the Maypo addict...

Rice Crispies only if you dumped half the sugar bowl over them so you ended up with that gooey sugar paste in the bottom of your bowl.

Well it looks as though the "Ruffians" have finished getting dressed and are ready to attack the day, so I have to go. I love days like this where there is nothing planned and the whole family gets to spend the entire day together. When the boys are just a bit older Mom and Dad will not be "cool" enough to spend the entire day with, so we enjoy it while we have it!

Take care everybody, see everybody either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Lisa, Maypo is grainy flavored oatmeal. Coco wheats are the same except chocolate flavored. How many languages can you say gross in?
