Actually, he was putting sealants on my molars and was burring off a stain... which turned out to be a cavity, which he then drilled out and filled - without anesthetic (he's a very good dentist, and it wasn't a problem) - but then he got up in class the next night and announced to the class that anyone who wanted to could kick me in the mouth, because I could take it... and since he outranked me at the time (not anymore; he and his wife took 10 years off to raise their kids - they're back now) there wasn't anything I could do but say "thank you, sir".
