Absolutely with a heavy coat on forget about striking all but the most exposed areas. Plus those grappling techniques with the gi turn into great moves with a coat!

For as much as I tease Brian he speaks the truth..I cant't get the officers to train inside much less going outside..I have used similar tecchiques when making an arrest and the suspect is wear one of those "Phat" coats..

There was a question at the bottom - my step-sister-in-law (try saying that one 10 times fast) is looking for a TKD class for her 8 year-old daughter, but she's a little far away from your class - north Forth Worth/Keller is what I was told.
