HOT! its been nice the past couple of day but now its starting to get hot again. Dont know if i mentioned it but I have a test date for my blue belt. little excited and nervous

Congratulations! ... and that date would be?
I'm certifying in a new, or let's say modified art. They are honoring my current rank as I learn the ins and outs of the new art. The art is very much like my old art, some of the combinations and forms have variations and the punch techniques are slightly different. It also has a Kung Fu influence, it's coming along slowly, but I'm in no rush.

Sept 25. Its tentative date so im not sure but I think my instructor will stick with it. Im in no rush either but its nice every now and then to be pushed hard like that and then have something to show your achievement. (ill probably get bashed for that as the topic of ranks is sensative)

Well, as your profile states, you're studying SK. If that is true, then I don't see that you are rushing anything. Where I came from, knowing of a Blue belt test that far in advance is unheard of ... you have been given plenty of time to prepare yourself, which I am applauding. I couldl be wrong of course, but this tells me that you and your instructor care deeply on the art being learned and executed properly.

Yes I am studying SK. Ive been told about my tests up to know only 2 weeks before sometimes 3 but my instructor says that as I move up in rank he will give us more notice because its a big rank and big test even more so as I approach green, brown and black. Thanks again on the congrats ive got a lot of prepairing to do but Im ready.

That's great, I like his thinking, tests should be and are toughter as you move up and having that extra time to prepare is crucial.
I was on a different track this time through. I had been to certain level before and after an extended break, started back at white, in the same style, and worked my way back up ... I was fast tracking and instructing. So, I was surprise tested a few times. The thought behind it was that I was to be preparing for a test at all times, that made me work that much harder ... it pushed me and I needed the push ... LOL

Yum ... I just had a spaghetti snack, no, not spaghetti-o's ... LOL ... between conference calls. I have a few calls today, at least with me leading them, they should all be short a to the point.

And just what is wrong with Spaghetti-O's???? It was a stock item in my pantry during my bachelor days, I STILL like them...Yes, I hate drawn out phone calls..It make me wanna scream SAY what you have to then hang the **** up and let me get on with my life...

OK, now I'm going to have to try spaghetti-o's again ... LOL ... I don't remember them as bad either, just that I actually made spaghetti and didn't just open a can. I did open a jar for the sauce however.
When my tramp-ho ex girlfrined moved out of my first house I had my Mom come over for coffee and show me how to make REAL sauce..I still open a box for the pasta, never learned that skill...
