The ignore function: USE it

There's also the risk of the /ignored person actually typing something helpful or significant, and you missing it because you had them on ignore. I've encountered that on WoW before.

A broken clock is right twice per day - but would you really keep it and use it for those two brief seconds alone? My intrinsic side wants to agree with you - but I'm not the kind of person who wades through 12 tons of fertilizer for one or two raspberry seeds.

How about just trying to keep the conversations polite and respectfull so we don't have to use the ignore feature?

You can't force other people to do this - you can use a reprimand system but ultimately it is their choice - you can only kick them to the curb when they consistently demonstrate a refusal to comply. When that doesn't happen, the ignore feature is a GODSEND.

I've been recommending it for MONTHS now - and did so as a staff member for years. Good stuff!
