The 5 pillars of MCM WING CHUN.

1. Always maintain your fighting space while controlling your opponent's.

2. Always face your opponent. Using footwork to put your opponent's at a disadvantage position.

3. Always maintain proper structural alingment, while attacking your opponent's at his weakest point.

4. Always stay rooted and properly balanced when transitioning from one position to another.

5. Always seek the simplest and most direct methond to its intended target.

Good summary. Thanks Mike! And a note to the WSLVT "true believers." Notice that Mike could have legitimately generalized these points to all Wing Chun. They certainly apply fairly well. But he didn't. He specifically stated "The 5 pillars of MCM WING CHUN." This is the difference in being tactful, humble and polite......and not. ;)

Hello KPM, I agree most of not all.WC lineages I guess would not have a problem with my 5 points, but they are only my opinion not an absolute to any particular lineage..
