If Apple wants to build products in China, then it must ensure that the workers employed there are meeting basic human needs; no child labor, no 7 day 12 hour day work shifts, overtime pay, and etc. That will cause costs of labor to rise, which will persuade SOME companies to bring more manufacturing back to the USA; some will continue to save money producing overseas of course.

It's a nice idea, but we can't impose our standards on other countries. If we are near a tipping point like the price said, it may be easier and more worthwhile for the government to impose punitive taxes on businesses that offshore and tax breaks and other incentives to keep the jobs here. As long as there is a financial incentive (bonuses, higher stock prices) to lower costs by off shoring, it will be done.
