Passed my first grading!

Congratulations. That first belt is the best because now you have proven to yourself that you can do it and do it well. People no longer look upon you as the "newbie". On the down side, they now expect you to know a little more.

Ah, this is what I would say. The hardest part about this grading is now the practice has to ratchet up. Congratulations -- its always good to know that you can "stand and deliver"!

Like so many good people have said, the first one's the hardest. I think I like Twin Fist's most of all: the tests get harder, but no matter, testing gets easier. It's all downhill from here.

I remember my first test. I was in a gymnasium doing basics with about 200 other people and Hae Man Park watching. I had no idea who he was. I remember being really nervous during form and thinking it was by count.
