My Viewpoint On Belts And Rank

So you only think about AI? You don't even train martial arts?

(That's the kind of response I'm referring to, where someone will ONLY see what the post is).
My understanding of this group is that people tend to talk about the things that they do. There is a lot of evidence of that already on here. Martial Arts discussions will easily figure out someone's training just based on their responses. I'm almost willing to say that we as a group are so open about that, that Ai could even figure out who is most likely telling the truth about their martial arts knowledge and who isn't just based on the combination of our responses. If you like I can create a separate post just test this out if you like.

But without Ai it's still easy to tell. Here's why: People who do the same thing tend to talk the same way. It doesn't matter which system they train, they tend to have the same common experiences against common attacks and common defenses. They guy that comes in and says something that doesn't makes sense to that common logic is the guy who isn't doing what he really is saying he's doing.

This is why I can explain long fist techniques accurately and then find an MMA video that shows what I previously explained. The idea that we are so unique that no one has "done it" or "been through it" except for us is not logical. So, from that perspective there should be a lot of "Common Experiences." and anything outside of that common experience is more likely to be a lie than something unique.

Also just so we have a good discussion. No one ONLY does one thing. This is understood by all of us. In a debate, yes you can use it, but for the sake of conversation and avoiding going into a bunch of word games. Here's how humans understand the use of ONLY.

The word "only" is incredibly versatile and is used to express exclusivity, limitation, or uniqueness. Its meaning depends on the context, but here are a few common ways it's used:

  1. Restrictive or Exclusive Use:
    • "This is the only book I like." (Meaning: No other books are liked.)
    • "You can only buy one ticket." (Meaning: No more than one is allowed.)
  2. Conditional or Contrasting Use:
    • "I would go to the party, only I'm too tired." (Meaning: The reason for not going is being explained.)
    • "I was about to leave, only it started raining." (Meaning: Something prevented an action.)
  3. Emphasizing Rarity or Uniqueness:
    • "She is the only person who understands me." (Meaning: No one else does.)
    • "It's only a matter of time." (Meaning: Something will inevitably happen.)
  4. Minimizing Importance or Degree:

  • "It’s only a scratch." (Meaning: It's not serious.)
  • "He is only a beginner." (Meaning: He’s not experienced yet.)

In everyday conversation, "only" often serves to clarify limits or emphasize exclusivity. It's one of those small words that carry a lot of weight—how you place it in a sentence can subtly change its meaning!

If you post 3 times about belts. And those are the only posts of yours that one sees, how is one to know you think about other things as well?

How would one go about posting about something that is not on their mind?
I don't think you can unless it's just a copy paste type thing. Really easy to do with Ai responses one has not read. Like I just did a copy paste of an Ai response about getting kicked in the groin. I didn't read all of it. lol

If anyone, including myself, posts 3 times about something and I do it in 3 separate posts or start the similar topics 3 separate times in 3 separate posts, then it would mean that it's something that I think about often about. It's not a bad thing but that person would have to really convince me that it's not something significant to me. And the only way to really do that is to not say any more about it, because if that person tries to prove to me that's not what they are thinking of most of the time, would kind of defeat the purpose of showing that it's not on their minds.

But there are also some things on my mind that I don't speak about a lot. In that situation my actions will usually reflect what I'm thinking about it. I think about losing my job lately. A lot and I can tell you that much of my action at work is to try to position myself to where I'm less likely to lose my job. Part of that effort is become good enough where I can use Ai to make some significant changes, in the speed in which one can find IT answers. It may sound like I'm putting myself out of work, but the thing is. One still has to know the answers that Ai will pull from and they have to be written in a certain manner that will allow Ai to be accurate. That part I'm keeping to myself. That way if others try what I'm doing they are less likely to be successful.

Any one who fails to understand that it's a Tool and not a replace is not going to have a lot of success with Ai.

lol. now there's 4 post about Ail that I think I've made today. Zero posts about my martial arts training other than me saying I'm currently not training.
