Yup. Characters are to high on board. I might cut board to improve appearance, centering characters.
On the jpeg file the characters apparently have a fixed ratio to each other. That is they are not individual characters the can be adjusted. All the characters are one item (picture), not like letters in word processing app. As you make the picture wider you also make it taller. So what the staff does is project the complete image on the board and then makes it fit one dimension say top to bottom and the width adjusts in the other direction, in this case width. I should have been paying closer attention to what she was doing. I was multi-tasking at the time. Bad idea.
I expect the last piece of bloodwood shortly. Then I need step back and look at the whole project.
