I have two items that I would like help with. The first one is on the chest of a GI. I believe the top horizontal line says Okinawa and the bottom line says Karate Do. The vertical characters state the name of the style?

There is, I believe Kanji in the middle of the circle. One or two characters. Appears on the back of Gi jacket.

I tried using google translate, but could not post picture into translate. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks for any help.

Horizontal top says ‘Okinawa’ and the vertical says ‘Kobu Ryu’ and ‘Karate Do’ horizontal along the bottom. You should investigate Google translate, opr1945. It’s not 100% accurate but it’s not bad.

Ah, I see. Instead of doing that, try using the camera on your phone within the Google translate application to view the kanji.

I am not good at doing on line stuff on phone. Better at using laptop. Phone is very slow and screen is to small to read for these old eyes. Although, I am scheduled for eye surgery. Apprehensive about that. Wife had it about 6 months ago and still can't see clearly, not blind just reduced clarity of vision.
