One of my favourite politicians of modern times - you cannot help but nod in sympathy for any high-profile chap whose reaction to someone egging him from behind is to deck the offender (he did explain later that he did not realise it was 'just' a thrown egg which does rather justify his reaction but still doesn't spoil the story ).
