I have started noticing something about eyes in photos. You frequently see the reflection of a window, light source, sun, etc reflected in a person's eyes in a closer portrait. I also know that there are photoshop actions specifically designed to capture this effect and ADD it to eyes and alter it.

What are your thoughts on it? Is it something that you try to add, arrange lights specifically to capture? Or try to remove and avoid?

You want 1 light source reflected to add life to the image. More than 1, may or may not be desired. I rarely modify mine though.

I always have 1 or 2 catch lights in the eyes, one always being smaller than the other for depth. I have never used a program to imitate catch lights either...though if I have a head tilted wrong and Im missing one...I usually just copy one catch light from the other eye and put it onto the eye thats missing it :)
