Bjj fake white belt video

Saw this today and thought it was funny. It's quite old so probably already been posted here but a world champion black belt came into a bjj school and pretended to be a white belt and beat everyone in the gym.

It is a great video. It's also a reminder to never underestimate your opponent. He could've been a sambo expert, judo newaza expert, etc and had similar results.

I would hope any high level school owner could strap on a white belt walk into his buddies school and have the same result.
I wonder how different the results would be if he pretended to be a purple belt new to the school. Perhaps they wouldn't have gone so easy on him

Never heard it called smurfing before. We call it sandbagging.

Smurfing, as I've used it, is when someone come in wearing a new, blue Gi, and the sweat makes the dye run, getting it on your white Gi and turning it blue... Smurfing.
