How many of you actually sit down and think what TKD would have been today without the past conflicts? What could have been a melting pot of talent and wisdon all brought together for the advancement of TKD?

Personally I would have preferred that TKD had never unified and standardized. Wouldn't it be neat to be able to learn Shudokan karate as filtered through Korean eyes? Or to see what Hwang Kee's Hwa Soo Do was like before he added the Shotokan to it? I personally value more what Korean martial arts lost with the unification than anything gained.
