What is Free Style TKD?
I am asking this because I am thinking of starting it up. Is it just the same as CDK, WTF and ITF?

People have told me that it is different but I want to hear from the experts;)

Thank you for replies,

Bobby.

No, I was looking at a search website for martial arts looking for akido classes and I stumbled upon "free style" TKD, I have heard of freestyle sparring too but not free style TKD.

My guess would be non-affiliated (or independent) TKD. You'll find these groups also working on an MMA of some type also in NASKA or XMA competition. I would conceder team Paul Mitchell a freestyle TKD group.

I think it would be fun. Be aware that you will not get to much philosophy out of it, but allot of sweat.

Google "NASKA" or "XMA" to see some samples of freestyle forms and fighting.

I agree - I suspect it is a non-affiliated TKD-based program. Could you post the link so we can see what you're talking about?

If by "...like Tae Bo", you mean that it would be a good workout, but have little to offer martially, I would have to agree.

Stay away from it Bobby.

Free style TKD is basically just a few moves from TKD mixed with moves from other arts. There is a school near me that teaches it.

STAY AWAY!!!!

They even have BB's too. lol BB in Freestyle TKD. *big groan*
Total waste if you ask me.

It might just be open aspects of TKD with out any forms or step spars Best way is check it out if it looks like something you want to do try it. And better yet talk to the instructor there to find more out. But I would think it has dropped form training and trains the open aspects.
