I will be transferring from Yokosuka, Japan to San Diego, Cali. in a few months (not exactly sure when depends on what my orders say). If there is any school or anyone in the area that wishes to train with me let me know, it has been so hard to get out and get good training over here because of the time constraints they put on the sailors but hopefully my new command will let me have a little more free time so I can get back into it to the extent I wish to be training. I will be sure to post on here when I will be there as soon as I know and as soon as I am actually in town.

What styles are you interested in training in?

I lived and trained in SD for 8 years (KF & TKD). Would be interested in hearing about your experiences once you get there.

I am really a freestyle martial artist these days, I really like any style, but I have previous training in Hagana, TKD, fencing, boxing, hapkido, aikido, sport wrestling, but I would be happy to learn anything anyone has to teach

First of all welcome to America's finest city. I don't know if you've ever been here before but most people love it here. The weather can't be beat, and people are usually pretty laid back and easy going. I think you'll enjoy your stay.

As far as where to train it kinda depends on where you will be. What people consider to be "San Diego" is usually the whole county of San Diego and that is a pretty big area. There are several navy bases here but I think the one you may end up at is 32nd st.? I would reccomend my BJJ dojo but it is in Escondido, and that would probably be pretty far from you. But we have some really good BJJ instructors all over San Diego. Whatever style you're looking for we probably have it here. In fact there are some great MMA gyms.

Here are some that might be closer to you that you may want to check out.

It's kind of hard because there is a huge variety of schools available here and without a clear direction on the style you want, well...these might be a good start to look at. I can't really speak as to the quality of any of them except the BJJ schools, the ones I put here are excellent.

Good luck
