I think Spartan Bob was running the game clock for him. Very strange things happened to the clock when it got down under 1:30 left in the game. NY ran a play that actually added time to the clock. And another play didn't take any time. Then when the clock ran out in the end they put another second on to give Manning an even more glorious moment.

Very strange indeed!

... and what might have been written had the time issues helped Mr. Brady and the Patriots get into field goal range and win the game ... sounds like nothing less than bitterness.

A strange clock is a strange clock regardless of who wins. I didn't have a dog in this race. I think my Detroit Lions were mathematically eliminated in week 2.

I meant week 2 of the preseason.

I'm not a Patriot fan, nor am I a Giant fan. It would have been just as good to see the Patriots be able to complete a perfect season as it was to see an underdog play beyond everybody's expectation ... that's sport.

The Patriots, even though they were unable to complete the season with a Superbowl victory, had the best season ever ... 18 wins ... can't take anything away from them. Just have to hand it to the Giants for stepping up and taking it away from them.
