Tell me something good...

I want to share a really cool moment...
I just attended the Order of the Arrow Section 10 Conclave, a gathering of 3 Lodges. Samuel Crowder, the youth currently serving as the National Chief of the OA joined us today. During the closing show, Sam called out probably the youngest, and certainly the smallest scout. Sam said they lad had really impressed him, and Sam saw big things in the boy's future. Maybe even a future National Chief... and then, taking the golden shoulder loops that are his emblem of office off, he made the boy National Chief (pro tem) for the rest of the show.
Even better, every time Sam might have been called forward for the rest of the evening... they called them both forward.
I won't be surprised if Sam's prediction does come true... and I am sure that the young man will remain active in the zoA and Scouting for a long time.

Well it has been just over 4-weeks since I bruised my spine and found out about all the bone spur and narrowing crap. Still have numbness in my heel and outer toe area.
Going back to the gym for the first time tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Ended up not going to the gym. Had a customer with an emergency which ended up required moving a Lot of material to access the control panel. I did not Have to help with the moving but I would have just been standing around. So we spent about an hour moving 50ish pound boxes about 20-feet. Back held up just find but the foot still have numbness in the heel and blade/little toe area.

I do too.
There is also what they call new Taipei...with the high speed train.
New Taipei, Taiwan
Believe it or not, the Taipei city boundary was drawn by my father with my help. My father was the 地政司司长 Secretary for Lands in Taiwan back in 1969. He didn't want anybody to get involved with the city boundary information. If anybody could release that information, others could buy land cheat while it was outside of the city limit, and then sold it in high price after the land is drawn inside the city limit.

The news and social media and just about anywhere you look lately seem dominated by negative news and stories. I'm going to lift an idea from a radio show I sometimes listen to... The host has a fairly regular segmen he calls "Tell me something good." He invites listeners to call in with good news, whether it's big like births or marriage, or little, like a nice sunrise... doesn't matter, it just has to be some good news. So... in this thread, tell us something good!
I'm still here. I have been promoted to 7th KYU. It's been a difficult year. I turned 70 and missed a lot of training, for various problems, but made it through so far. I refuse to quit no matter what life is throwing at me.
