I agree with this article. The Taekwondo at London 2012 was the best (from a spectator's point of view) that I've ever seen.

I agree, from a spectator's point of view it was more meaningful than previous Games. There are still problems with the flow of the action and I would like to see more convincing head contact, but I'm not sure that any further change to the scoring system beyond electronic head protectors will drive the right behaviour. I think more attention needs to be paid to the right sizes of chest gear, and how it is worn. Some players were wearing ridiculously loose to prevent the sensors from registering contact. On the whole though, the balance was more towards sportsmanship than cynical tactics.
