Moose! (Feedback please!)

Nice photo but watch out for moose, they tend to be four legged bull dozers and a lot more dangerous than the average person wants to believe

There was a programme on them a little while ago, quite scary how people were attacked by them though to be fair people did 'invade' the moose' space.
That is a nice photo!

How on earth did you get that shot without freaking the moose out with flash or bright lights, Carol? It's a really nice photograph; the creature stands out and fades into the absolutely black background wonderfully.

Nice photo... No, it's an awesome photo. Great lighting and composition. Also a very nice animal in-of-by-itself, strong and well fed from the looks of it. Very nicely done. I've a friend who is from New Hampshire that would absolutely LOVE this cow. She has moose all over her house. Pictures, diagrams, theme blankets, dinner plates, whimsical stuff, et al. So with your very kind permission I'd like to send this along to her.

Keep up the good work!

But yeah, moose are NOT to be trifled with or taken lightly. Their temperament matches or exceeds their ugly-beauty.

She is actually lit off center by two 250 watt halogen spots....but at a distance of 20-30 feet. When she didn't balk at the spots, I moved in closer.

I took flash photos too, but to be honest the ones without flash are much cooler.

yep, really cool picture.

it looks liek you fussed for hours over the moose then parked it just right in the studio.

I was gonna ask if it was till breathing.

It's plain awesome!

Carol -- it's a great picture. There's not a thing I would do other than frame it!
