I spent a few nights searching YouTube trying to find the front choke I mentioned but had no luck.
You have someone in closed guard. You pull them towards you so they post out.
Your left arm goes around their right arm just above their elbow holding it tight to your side while your hand, palm up, grips the lapel of their gi just below 1 o’clock. (That should be one movement, grabbing their arm and shooting your hand up inside their lapel.)
Your other hand, palm down, grabs their lapel PAST where your first hand is. (Towards their back)
From there - You want your right hand’s forearm to go over their head from the left side of their neck (their left) to the right.
Pull your elbows back, not to the side but backwards, against your ribs.
Maybe it’s a beginner’s technique, maybe it’s easily countered, I don’t know, but it worked for me a lot.
But again, I never tried it against a better grappler.
